Quartzite and alabaster, Provenance: Sakkara, ca. 1370 B.C. (18th dynasty)
Amenhotep-Huy is supreme racing master (steward) of Memphis at the time of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. The box has the shape of a chapel on a sled. On the sides are the four sons of Horus and four goddesses: Isis, Nephthys, Neith and Selkis. This is where in the jars are preserved the embalmed entrails of the mummy.
