Description: Ewer and basin with scenes of land and sea battles during the Eighty Year's War
silver gilt, 1614

The engraving and relief scenes on the ewer and basin present the victories of the Dutch in the war with Spain by 1573 to 1607. In the center of the basin is depicted the triumph of Prince Maurice at the Battle of Nieuwpoort in 1600.
