Description: LEA-FRANCIS Type "V" 12/40 HP (Chassis) - 1930 (GB)
This chassis was present at the London Motor Show in the early twentieth century. It formed the basis of one of many different models the Lea-Francis Company. Messrs. Lea and Francis founded a bicycle works in 1895 in Coventry (England), which also produced motorcycles. In the early twenties they did succeed and produced a number of smaller cars with a sporting image. The most famous Lea-Francis is the "Hyper", which had quite a successful competition career. They ceased production due to financial difficulties, but will be always remembered by a great number of loyal fans.
