He spent much of his life in France.
He died on July 2, 1778 in France. Re-interred in the Pantheon in Paris.
One of the greatest personalities, philosopher and esthete of the 18th century from the Age of the Enlightenment.

In 2012 we celebrate 300 years since his birth.
